Founded in 1998, the Milwaukee Scottish Pipe Band is dedicated to promoting excellence in traditional Highland piping and drumming.
Under the direction of Pipe Major Chandler Sievewright and Lead Drummer Don Amby, the Milwaukee Scottish Pipe Band currently competes in Grade 4 in the Midwest Pipe Band Association. The MSPB tartan is the Isle of Skye.
As a competition and performance band, the Milwaukee Scottish Pipe Band continually strives to improve our piping and drumming skills as individuals and as an ensemble. We are fortunate to have received expert instruction from Pipe Major Brian Donaldson, Mr. Ross Speirs (piping) Mr. Andrew Hoinacki and Mr. J. Reid Maxwell (drumming) – world-class instructors – as unique resources for band development.
The band rehearses at the New Berlin Free Methodist Church at 2975 South Sunnyslope Road on Thursday evenings. Beginner instruction is held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Prospective members are invited to contact us to discuss details and arrange beginner lessons or auditions.
